Author is an Army veteran. He became a leo in 2007 after 8 years of service in the Army. He spent the first 3 years as a patrolman at the MBTA Transit Police Department in Boston, MA. In 2011, he transferred to a local police department in Massachusetts.  His current position is a narcotics task force detective. He is also a firearms instructor, less-than lethal weapons instructor, certified use of force instructor and fire investigator within a local police department.
